Starter Templates – Required plugins missing
While working with Starter Templates, do you see a popup showing an error – “Required plugins missing“? If yes, this article will explain the possible reasons for this error and how you can solve it.
Starter Templates are built with the free version of page builders (Elementor, Brizzy, Beaver Builder, and Gutenberg) and some other plugins. While importing a template, if these required plugins are not yet installed on your website, they will be automatically installed.
If one of these plugins fails to install for some reason, that’s the underlying cause why you might see this error message.
Here, is the most likely reason why it happened is that AJAX Request Failed. Namely, when you click on the import button, an AJAX request is sent to our server. Next, this request initiates the installation of plugins on your website. Now, In case this request fails to reach the server, you might see a plugin installation failed error.
How To Solve This?
First, try the solutions mentioned here. We will also mention some other workarounds below.
Install Required Plugins Manually – Try to install required plugins from the WordPress plugins page (WordPress dashboard > Plugins > Add New > Search and install a plugin ).
In case one of the premium plugins ( a plugin available with Astra packages) installation fails, you can download it from the store account and then upload it to your website.
Below are the steps to install Astra Pro from the store, you can do the same for other required plugins.
- Log in to the store account.
- Go to Account -> Downloads.
- Download the Astra Pro plugin. You’ll get an installable zip file on your computer.
- On your WordPress website, install the zip from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Activate the plugin.
